On Saturday April 27th, AIChE volunteered at the Energy Day Outreach event that ESS had for middle schoolers and high schoolers.
As the name implies, this event focuses on alternative and renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, and of course, fuel cells.
AIChE held a workshop where kids could build their own hydrogen fuel cell car in addition to utilizing electrolysis to generate hydrogen from water. We also had solar panels as an alternative source, which was perfect for the sunny weather.
We even had the kids race the cars, and everyone had a great time.
Thanks to everyone who helped out!
